OnePlus Ace 2 Pro to be launched on August 16 with Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC, up to 24GB RAM
OnePlus has confirmed the launch of its latest flagship smartphone the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro in China on August 16th. The teaser unveils a familiar design, with the phone being offered in Cyan and Grey colors, and the official name for each color is expected to be disclosed shortly.
OnePlus has officially announced the presence of the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor with 24 GB of LPDDR5X RAM, and the option for up to 1TB UFS 4.0 storage. The back of the phone reveals an IMX890 50MP primary sensor featuring a 1/1.56″ sensor size and an f/1.88 aperture.
According to the company, the phone will boast an aerospace-grade three-dimensional cooling system called the Tiangong cooling system, which is currently the most powerful VC in the industry. The company claims that this VC is at least two generations ahead of the competition.
The VC area spans an impressive 9140mm², making it the only 10,000-level VC in the industry and over twice the size of the mainstream specification of a single-chip VC used by other devices. This cooling system utilizes the world's first aerospace-grade diamond thermally conductive gel and aerospace-grade superconducting thermal graphite.
Additionally, the OnePlus Ace 2 Pro is expected to feature a 1.5K curved 120Hz OLED screen and supports 150W SuperVOOC fast charging technology. We should know more details and the full specification of the phone in the coming days.
