OnePlus 15 to be launched Globally soon with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 SoC

OnePlus has revealed that its upcoming flagship smartphone, the OnePlus 15, will debut globally in a new “Sand Storm” edition. This variant is the first in the industry to use aerospace-grade Micro-Arc Oxidation (MAO) technology on both the middle frame and camera module.

Drawing inspiration from desert landscapes, the Sand Storm edition blends rugged durability with a minimalist design. The MAO process uses high-voltage plasma to fuse a ceramic coating directly onto the metal frame, making it 3.4 times harder than standard aluminum and 1.3 times stronger than titanium, according to OnePlus.

The company also emphasizes that the process is environmentally friendly. The design is complemented by a lightweight fiberglass back, providing a balanced feel that combines the cool, sturdy ceramic frame with a warm, smooth grip.

Alongside its upgraded build materials, OnePlus confirmed that the device will be one of the first smartphones to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 Mobile Platform. The company noted that this new chipset will be complemented by its latest cooling system to deliver consistent peak performance and efficiency.
