OnePlus 12 will feature Innovative Sony LYTIA Dual-Layer Stacked CMOS Sensor
OnePlus has announced that the upcoming OnePlus 12 will incorporate a cutting-edge LYTIA "Pixel Stacked" sensor. This news follows the collaboration between OnePlus and Sony, where the company utilized the Sony LYT-T808 LYTIA image sensor, integrating dual-layer transistor pixel technology into the design of the OnePlus Open foldable phone.
The President of OnePlus China, Li Jie Louis, emphasized that all flagship imaging devices will be equipped with Sony sensors, combined with Snapdragon technology and Hasselblad capabilities, alongside the OPPO Find flagship algorithm. Louis further suggested that the OnePlus 12 will set a new benchmark in imaging capabilities, surpassing competitors, and potentially exceeding customers' expectations.
As per information shared by the well-known leaker Digital Chat Station, the OnePlus 12 is expected to employ the same LYT-T808 sensor, albeit with an upgraded resolution of 50MP, in contrast to the 48MP used in the OnePlus Open.
In earlier confirmations, OnePlus had already verified the incorporation of a 2K "X1 (Oriental) Screen" provided by BOE, boasting a maximum brightness of 2600 nits. Additionally, the device will incorporate OPPO's first-generation self-developed image quality engine Display P1 chip. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC. Previous rumors have indicated specifications including up to 24GB of RAM, storage options of up to 1TB, a powerful 5400mAh battery supporting 100W wired fast charging, and 50W wireless fast charging capabilities.
