Nothing Ear (3) flagship TWS earbuds Teased; Expected Dual-Driver Audio, ANC Upgrades, Swipe Volume Controls
Nothing has begun teasing the launch of its next flagship True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earbuds, the Ear (3), which will succeed last year’s Nothing Ear. After moving to a simplified “Ear” naming format following the Ear (1) and Ear (2), the company is now reverting to the original numbering system based on customer feedback.
“Skipping ahead to Ear (4) would only create confusion, especially for new customers, so we chose the option that delivers the most clarity and consistency,” explained Andrew, Head of Global Smart Products Marketing.
The Ear (3) is rumored to feature notable upgrades, including a dual-driver system commonly found in premium TWS earbuds, enhanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC), a more natural transparency mode, and improved battery life.
Nothing is also expected to retain its signature transparent design for both the earbuds and the case. A highly requested addition—swipe-based volume controls—may also finally debut with this model.
The launch is expected to take place in late September or early October 2025, with more details likely to surface soon.
