Nokia Asha 501 Dual SIM phone now available for pre-order in India for Rs. 5199
The Nokia Asha 501 Dual SIM is now available for pre-order in India from Nokia Shop for Rs. 5199. In terms of specs the Asha 501 has a 3-inch QVGA (240x320 pixels) display with hardened glass covering and the new Nokia Asha OS with Swipe UI. It also has a 3.2MP primary camera alongwith software features like Nokia Fast Lane which allow multi-tasking and bringing all recent activities together at a single place.
In terms of connectivity the Asha 501 has dual SIM capabilities, one of the SIM slots is hot-swappable as well, then there's Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and FM Radio but no 3G. There's a paltry 128MB of internal storage which is expandable with a microSD card and you also get a free 4GB card inside the box. With the 1200 mAh battery of the Asha 501, you can get upto 17 hours of talk time and upto 26 days of standby.
The touch optimized Asha 501 comes with a lot of pre-installed apps, including Facebook, LinkedIn, Nimbuzz, Twitter, Foursquare and others. The Nokia Asha 501 is available for Rs. 5199 from the Nokia Store in Bright Red, Cyan, Yellow , White and Black colors. It is expected to go on sale in the first week of July, while other retailers have also begun listing pre-orders but for a higher price.
