Nokia 3310 launches in India, priced cleverly at Rs. 3310
Nokia is finally making its comeback to India, but with a twist. The first phone from HMD is not a smartphone but the 2017 Nokia 3310 feature phone which carries a very special Rs. 3310 price tag.
It will be available starting May 18th in India and you can grab it on pre-order at select retail partners starting today. There are four enticing colors to choose from including red, which is by far by favorite.
HMD has been working hard to get the Nokia brand back to its older glory. The company launched the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 6 Android smartphones among much fanfare, and those will be coming in June to India. But it was the Nokia 3310 that stole the show at MWC 2017. The funky styling, bold colors and snake, who can forget that, won us over instantly.
We did get to spend some time with the Nokia 3310, and well, it is a feature phone and at this price, it is a bit expensive as well. You have to remove those rose colored nostalgia glasses to notice, but at this price or for a little bit more, you can have a proper smartphone.
Nokia 3310 Specs and Features
The Nokia 3310, on the other hand, packs a 2.4-inch display at 320x240 pixels resolution, 1200 mAh battery - which is said to give more than 22 hours of talk time and it still weighs in at just 79 grams. Then there are some games pre-installed as well, including our favorite Snake, Asphalt 6, Doodle Jump and Diamond Twister.
It also comes with a 2MP rear camera with LED flash, however its quite mediocre. It has a backlit T9 keyboard, a D-Pad along with selection buttons on both its sides.
We do expect great battery life from the Nokia 3310, and sturdy build quality but this is a 2G only smartphone and so, apart from being used as a secondary phone, it doesn't really hold much value.
