The new Moto G with 5-inch HD display goes official, the perfect phone at a great price

    Motorola has just unveiled the successor to the popular Moto G, with everything you could ask for. The new Moto G (Gen 2) comes with a 5-inch HD (1280x720 Pixels, 294 PPI) IPS display clad in Corning Gorilla Glass 3 and is powered by the same 1.2 GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 processor as the previous model. It runs Android 4.4 KitKat right out of the box with 1 GB RAM  and 8 GB/16 GB of internal storage which is thankfully expandable with a microSD card slot.

    The new Moto G will come in a dual-SIM avatar as well for India. There's a 8 MP camera at the back with LED flash and a 2 MP front-facing camera for excellent selfies. Another great addition is dual front-facing spaekers, similar in design to what we saw on the Moto E, but there we had just one speaker. The new Moto G also comes with water resistant nano-coating both inside and out.

    To customize your phone you can get removable back-covers just like the previous Moto G, which will be sold separately. India is going to get the 8 GB dual-SIM and 16 GB dual-SIM variant of the Moto G. It has been priced at $179 in the US for the 8 GB variant which comes out to be about Rs. 10,800. The new Moto G will be launched in India soon, we will get the final pricing there.
