Netflix rolls out mobile data saver to help you binge watch
Netflix had started throttling data speeds to prevent overuse charges for customers and now they have a more permanent solution in place. The company has started rolling out its mobile data saver feature to all users globally. If you can't see the feature yet, try to check for an update on the Play Store or the App Store.
To use the new feature, just head into App Settings and you will see the option for Cellular Data Usage. By default it will be set to Automatic which defaults to about 600Kbps or 3 hours per GB of data. You can also manually choose a particular setting like low (4 hours per GB), medium (2 hours per GB), high (1 hour per GB) or unlimited, if you are being extremely adventurous.
You can also turn off Netflix on mobile data from the settings. What are you waiting for then? New episodes of Daredevil, House of Cards, Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, Arrow are all waiting for you.
