Motorola is reportedly working on its next clamshell foldable smartphone under the Razr 70 series, which includes the Motorola Razr 70 and Razr 70 Ultra. In terms of design, the device closely resembles its predecessor, the Razr 60. It is rumored to feature a 6.9-inch inner foldable display with a resolution of 1080 × 2640 pixels, along with a 3.63-inch cover screen offering a resolution of 1056 × 1066 pixels.

The phone is likely to be available in multiple configurations, including 8GB, 12GB, and 16GB of RAM, paired with storage options of 256GB, 512GB, and up to 1TB. For optics, it is said to include a 50MP primary camera, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 32MP front-facing camera. A 4,500mAh battery is also expected.

Compared to the Razr 60, the Razr 70 is tipped to bring upgrades such as higher RAM and storage variants, a new (yet unspecified) chipset, and a telephoto camera replacing the ultrawide sensor.

Leaked press renders have revealed the Razr 70 Ultra in two finishes: Orient Blue Alcantara and Pantone Cocoa Wood. The Orient Blue variant appears to feature a faux leather back, while the Cocoa Wood option showcases a matte, wood-like texture.

A closer inspection of the images shows no visible selfie camera on the inner folding display. This is likely an omission in the renders, as earlier CAD-based leaks indicated a hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera.

The Razr 70 Ultra is rumored to be slightly thicker than its predecessor, the Razr 60 Ultra, possibly to accommodate a larger battery. It is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset and feature a 7-inch inner display along with a 4-inch cover screen. The camera setup may include dual 50MP rear sensors and a 50MP front camera, backed by a 4,700mAh battery with 68W fast charging support.

Although Motorola has not yet officially confirmed any details, the Razr 70 series is expected to launch later this month. In the US market, the devices could be branded as the Razr 2026 and Razr Ultra 2026.
