Motorola testing Android 5.1 Lollipop for Moto X 1st Gen in Brazil
Motorola had earlier said that they would update the fist-gen Moto X and Moto E directly to Android 5.1 Lollipop, skipping 5.0.2 update. It seems that the company has stuck to its promise and has begun a soak test of Android 5.1 Lollipop for the original Moto X (2013) in Brazil.
The delay in Lollipop update for the OG Moto X is its dated Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset, which requires additional tinkering for smooth functioning of a new OS. A worldwide rollout is expected in May.
