Motorola Moto 360 2015 launching in India today, here's all we know
Motorola is going to launch its 2nd-generation Moto 360 in India today. We expect to see both the Moto 360 2015 and Moto 360 Sport at the event, which we will be covering live through Twitter and Facebook.
The new Moto 360 comes in two sizes, one with 46mm dial, 1.56-inch display and another with 42mm dial and a 1.37-inch display. The flat tire returns here, but as I have said before as well you get used to it and given the better screen-to-body ratio its a sacrifice I am willing to make. The bezels are slimmer this time around as well. The new design also makes it easier to change straps with the help of lugs and a quick release mechanism.
Motorola has finally given-up on the outdated TI-OMAP processor giving way to the Snapdragon 400 with 512MB RAM and 4GB RAM. The larger 46mm Moto 360 has a bigger 400mAh battery as well compared to the 300 mAh unit on the 42mm variant. The smaller variant has a women's edition as well, which can be customized with a rose-gold finish in addition to black and silver.
Moto 360 2015 is also IP67 dust and water resistant, comes with wireless charging, heart-rate sensor and an ambient light sensor. You can connect the Android Wear smartwatch through WiFi or Bluetooth to both your Android device or iPhone.
The Moto 360 Sports variant is being targeted towards fitness enthusiasts and comes with built-in GPS alongwith an AnyLight display which would be visible outdoors as well.
At present there is no word on pricing or availability. We will know more at the launch event, stay tuned for updated.
