Motorola has begun sending out invites for an event scheduled on February 25th at MWC 2014. Although there won't be any new devices on offer, the event would be an "update on business". Meaning, details about the company's prospects under Lenovo will be discussed. The invitation doesn't say much, just "You are invited." But the girl in the image is holding a Moto X.

Motorola may probaby start selling the Moto X in other parts of the world, as at present its just available in the US and the UK. Its the company's hao product which was outshown by their own budget Moto G, which has taken the world by storm. Even in India the Moto G 16 GB dual-SIM variant went out of stock in less than an hour. The stocks have been replenished again as if now.

The Moto G was launched on February 5th and at present is exclusively available on Flipkart. Talking about Motorola's plans, the company was planning to set-up a separate core team in India before the Lenovo acquisition, at present not much is known about the fate of that team. But Motorola has re-iterated several times that India and Brazil are one of the regions they are most interested in. Only time will tell what the company will be able to do under new leadership.
