Motorola celebrates 60 years of its iconic Batwing logo with a doodle contest
Motorola has been in transition from quite some time. After a lot of introspection, acquisition by Google and subsequently by Lenovo, Motorola has found its groove back. The new Moto and Droid series are among the best smartphones available in their segments.
You might not be aware but Motorola was the first company that made the cell-phone. They were the pioneers of the technology we take for granted today and its that iconic Batwing logo (Stylized M) which made the brand instantly recognizable.
A little bit of history, the logo was designed by Morton Goldsholl Design Associates in Chicago and was revealed via a Motorola showroom in Chicago’s Merchandise Mart during a Home Furnishings show and that was 60 years ago on June 19, 1955. To celebrate, Motorola is running a #MyMotoLogo contest where you can submit your own version of the Batwing logo.
You can enter the contest here and submit your entry. 6 lucky winners stand a chance to win a Moto X with their customized logo.
