Microsoft digs deeper with its Surface 2 ads, takes aim at Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1
Microsoft has been very aggressive with its Surface ad campaign ever since launch, taking pot-shots at the Apple iPad from time to time. On Wednesday, things took a turn towards Android and the Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 drew the short straw. The ad brings to focus the fact that the Surface 2 has a "full-sized" USB port while the Galaxy Note makes do with a micro USB port for both charging and data transfer. Therefore, you can't do both on the Note 10.1, while the Surface 2 has a proprietary charging port and a full sized USB port for connecting your thumb drives or other electronics.
So with the Surface 2, you can charge your phone, connect a camera and do pretty much everything you might require using its USB port, which is clearly lacking from the Note.
