Microsoft brings 3D drawing to the masses with Paint 3D
Microsoft is bringing a modern Paint app to Windows 10, this is the biggest update to the app in a long while. Moreover, it adds 3D to the whole mix.
You can draw in 3D, change perspective or even import your own 2D images and convert it to 3D with little to no effort.
With the "magic select" tool you can separate the foreground and background of an image and bring to a 3D space for editing. Then with the Doodle feature, you can create 3D images out of 2D content. All pens, brushes, and tools can interact with 3D objects. You can also change the depth, rotation all in three-dimensional space. There will be a lot of 3D objects to play with in Paint 3D and the company is working with Sketchup to bring 3D clipart to Paint as well.
The new Paint 3D app will be coming free with the Windows 10 Creator's Update coming next Spring.
