Micromax unveils new Canvas series with Fun A63 and Fun A74

Micromax has added to new phones two its Canvas series with Fun A63 and Fun A74. Both phones feature 1.3GHz dual-core processors and run Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.

Micromax Canvas Fun A63

The new entrant into the mid-range dual-SIM Fun series packs in a 1.3GHz dual-core processor based on the MediaTak MT6572 platform with 512MB RAM. The Canvas Fun A63 features a 4-inch WVGA display and a 2MP primary camera with 720p video recording. There's 4GB on internal storage out of which 1GB is available for apps and 1GB as Mass Storage.

The Canvas Fun A63 also supports 3G networks on WCDMA 2100 MHz band and GPS alongwith Bluetooth 2.0 and Wi-Fi. There's a 1500 mAh battery that keeps things ticking. You also get Kingsoft Office, Opera and Hike messenger pre-installed.

Micromax Canvas Fun A74

This too is a new entrant in the mid-range dual-core segment from Micromax, the Canvas Fun A74 features the same 1.3GHz dual-core processor as the A63 with 512MB RAM but with a larger 4.5-inch FWVGA display. 

The Fun A74 also gets a camera update in the form of a 5-megapixel unit and a 0.3-megapixel front facing camera as well. The primary camera also has a LED flash. Connectivity options are similar to the A63, with Bluetooth 2.0, Wi-Fi and 3G over WCDMA 2100 MHz. There's 4GB of internal storage out of which 1.25GB is available to the user.

The same 1500 mAh Lithium Polymer (Li-Po) battery powers the Canvas Fun A74 as well.
