Micromax Bolt A61 is now available for Rs. 4999
Micromax's budget friendly, Bolt series gets a new family member in the form of the Bolt A61, available for Rs. 4999 from the Micromax eStore. The phone clearly features entry level specs, with a 4-inch WVGA display, 1GHz single-core Spreadtrum processor, 256MB RAM and quite literally no internal memory to speak off. It comes with a 2MP primary and 0.3MP front camera, but does have 3G connectivity as well as dual-SIM support. The Bolt A61 seems to be something that might have made sense a year back, but now with dual-core processors, 512 MB RAM, 4 GB storage and 5 MP cameras available at the same price point, its strange what was the logic behind launching the Bolt A61 at this price point.
But to each his own, here's a look at the insanely entry-level specs for a Rs. 5000 device:
- Display: 4-inch WVGA (800 x 480 pixels)
- OS: Android 4.1 Jelly Bean
- Processor: 1 Ghz single-core Spreadtrum SC7710
- Memory: 256MB RAM, 512 MB ROM (135 MB available)
- Camera: 2MP primary, 0.3 MP front
- Connectivity: 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM Radio
- Battery: 1500 mAh
I wouldn't even give this a second look.
