Could this be the Logitech gamepad for the iPhone I've been yearning for?
We already know that Logitech was working for a gamepad for the iPhone, ever since WWDC, where Apple announced gamepad support in iOS 7. Although we didn't have a clear image of what it would look like. The gamepad houses the iPhone in its center, quite like a dock with a cutout for the camera at the back.
On the left you have the D-Pad and a customary 4 button layout on the right with a pause button. The logitech gamepad seems humongous in size and we aren't too happy with the design either. First of all with such a huge expanse of space, Logitech could have easily incorporated one if not two thumb sticks, just like the PSP. Thumb sticks provide a similar feel to gaming on a touchscreen with way better control.
Then there's the sheer size of the unit, it might house an extra battery, but that truly just does justify the width it adds to the iPhone. In the images there doesn't seem to be any additional speakers in the gamepad, whereby they will use the iPhone's speakerphone. We might see an announcement soon given that these are press shots.
