LG Nexus 5X goes official with Snapdragon 808, 2GB RAM starting at $379
LG Nexus 5X has just gone official with the specs that had been revealed through various leaks. The Nexus 5X comes with a 5.2-inch 1080p IPS display running on the Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor same as the LG G4 but with 2GB RAM and a choice of either 16GB or 32GB storage.
The Nexus 5X will run Android Marshmallow right out of the box. At the back, you have a new 12.3 MP camera from Sony with f/2.0 aperture, 1.55 micron large pixel size for better low light performance capable of capturing 4K videos. There is no optical image stabilization here, but you do get Laser AutoFocus and dual-LED flash. You also have the Nexus Imprint fingerprint sensor at the back.
The new 2015 Nexus from LG is quite thin at about 7.9mm at its thinnest point, but there is considerable camera hump at the back but its quite light at about 136 grams given that you have a 2700 mAh battery. Quick Charging is also built-in with the new USB Type-C port. Connectivity options include WiFi ac, 4G LTE, NFC, Bluetooth 4.2 and GPS with GLONASS.
The LG Nexus 5X will be available for pre-order starting today September 29th for those living in the US, UK, South Korea, Japan and Ireland from the Google Play Store starting at $379.99 (about Rs. 25,000) for the 16GB variant and $429 (about Rs. 28,300) for the 32GB storage variant. It will start shipping in October. Later on the new Nexus 5X will be available in India as well, through Google Play Store alongwith online retailers.
