LG G Watch goes official with its own microsite
Well, that was fast. LG has finally jumped head-on into the wearables space with the G Watch. Announced a month back, the LG G watch will be the first smartphone running on Android Wear which is a port of Android for wearables. LG has created a microsite for its G Watch which finally gives a detailed look at the design and features of the smartwatch.
Google and LG both have a lot depending on the G Watch, as it would be the first so called Nexus smartwatch. Lets have a look at some of its features:
- Glanceable Information
- Voice Recognition, "OK Google" hot word detection for Google Now.
- Water and Dust Resistant
- Always-on display (Nothing said about battery-life)
- Will be available in Stealth Gold and Champagne Gold colors
The G Watch looks pretty, it has metallic accents alongwith what looks like a adjustable rubber strap. At present though there's no word on availability or price. But being Google and LG's first effort at a smartwatch it would definitely under-cut the Samsung Gear 2.
