LG Band Play 4G LTE smartphone with 5-inch HD display, 13MP camera announced
LG today announced a new 4G LTE mid-ranger, the Band Play in Korea. It comes with a 5-inch HD IPS display and is powered by a quad-core Snapdragon 410 processor running Android 5.1 Lollipop. It comes with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash, Laser AutoFocus like the G3, G4 alongwith a 5MP front-facing selfie camera.
The Band Play variant announced in Korea is a single-SIM device with 4G LTE connectivity but a dual-SIM variant should also be in the works. LG says that it has a powerful 1-Watt loudspeaker for clear sound. You will also get LG's QuadBeat headset within the box.
LG has packed in a 2300 mAh removable battery inside the Band Play, there's 2GB RAM onboard and 16GB of expandable storage. Bluetooth 4.1, WiFi a/b/g/n, GPS and NFC also find a ride here. The LG Band Play has been priced at 294,800 Korean Won (about $356 or Rs. 22,650) and will be available in Korea through SKTelecom in black and white colors starting June 25th. There is no word on an international release.
