    Lenovo has expanded its Legion Go handheld gaming lineup, unveiling three new models, Lenovo Legion Go S (8″, 1) Windows, Lenovo Legion Go S (8″, 1) SteamOS, and Lenovo Legion Go S (8,8″, 2) Windows at CES 2025. The additions include a Windows-based device, a SteamOS-powered version, and a prototype for a future high-performance model.

    The Lenovo Legion Go S (8″, 1) is a Windows-based handheld gaming device featuring an 8-inch WUXGA (1920 x 1200) 16:10 120Hz PureSight touch display. Users can choose between the AMD Ryzen Z2 Go processor (exclusive to the Lenovo Legion Go) or the AMD Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor. The device supports configurations with up to 32GB of 7500MHz LPDDR5X RAM and is powered by a 3-cell 55.5Whr battery.

    Weighing 1.61 lbs (730g), the device offers Wi-Fi 6e support, dual USB 4 ports, and a microSD card reader, enabling seamless connectivity with external displays and peripherals.

    The Lenovo Legion Go S (8″, 1) – SteamOS Edition debuts as the first officially licensed handheld device powered by Valve’s SteamOS. It shares the same hardware specifications as the standard Legion Go S but operates on SteamOS, a gaming-focused operating system.

    Key highlights of SteamOS integration include cloud save functionality, Remote Play for streaming games from a PC, and seamless access to the Steam Store and Steam Library.

    Additionally, Lenovo offers the Legion Screen Protector, specifically designed for the Legion Go S (8″, 1). The protector is made from high-transparency 9H hardness glass, providing robust protection against scratches, scrapes, and drops while maintaining the natural touch sensitivity of the display at just 0.45mm thickness.

    Lenovo has also unveiled a prototype of the next-generation Legion Go (8.8″, 2). This device features an 8.8-inch 16:10 OLED PureSight touch display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 500-nit brightness, and Variable Refresh Rate (VRR) support.

    The prototype is equipped with AMD’s upcoming Ryzen Z2 Extreme processor, featuring RDNA 3.5 graphics, and supports configurations with up to 32GB of 7500MHz LPDDR5X RAM. Notable design updates include ergonomic Lenovo Legion TrueStrike controllers with a circular D-pad. The prototype hints at up to 2TB of SSD storage and a 74Whr battery, with the official release anticipated in 2025.
