Lenovo K4 Note gets VoLTE with OTA update patch in India, now supports Reliance Jio
Lenovo has started rolling out an OTA update for the K4 Note which enabled 4G VoLTE support for Reliance Jio. You will now be able to make calls on the K4 Note without using the Jio 4G Voice app.
The K4 Note VoLTE update patch (A7010a48) is being rolled out now in India and weighs in at 41 MB. You will be able to see a notification for the update on your phone, if not you can just manually check for updates from phone settings.
The Lenovo K4 Note was launched earlier in January this year with a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display running on Android 5.1 Lollipop with a MediaTek MT6753 processor. The highlight of the smartphone were the dual front firing stereo speakers and support for TheaterMax, the company's own VR experience.
Coming to the newest update, it's primarily to add VoLTE support to the device with some other bug fixes. From what we hear, the update disables video calling support in the native dialer. If you have found any other changes we would love to know.
