Lenovo A6600, A6600 Plus and A7700 launched in India with 4G VoLTE support
Lenovo has launched its updated budget line-up of Android phablets with 4G VoLTE support. The Lenovo A6600, A6600 Plus and A7700 all run on the MediaTek MT6735P processor and come with 8MP/2MP cameras.
The highlight of the devices is the 4G with VoLTE support which makes them ideal to use with Reliance Jio networks. Many companies have been trying to cash in on the Jio hype including Lava, Intex and now Lenovo as well. All three phones will be available in the offline market through retails stores, while online the company continues to sell its Vibe series.
Coming back to specs, the Lenovo A6600 and A6600 Plus both feature 5-inch HD IPS displays running on the MediaTek MT6735P processor with 4 Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1GHz and Android Marshmallow based Vibe UI. There's 1GB RAM, 16GB storage on the A6000, while the Plus variant gets double the RAM. Both are dual-SIM smartphones and have 8MP/2MP cameras along with a 2300 mAh battery running the show.
The Lenovo A7700 on the other hand gets a larger 5.5-inch 720p HD IPS display running on the same 1GHz quad-core processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage and Android Marshmallow. There's an 8MP rear camera here to keep the shutter bugs happy and a 2MP front camera for selfies. The battery here has been beefed up to 2900 mAh. Connectivity options on all include Dual-SIM support, WiFi, Bluetooth, FM Radio and GPS. There's no fingerprint sensor on any of these devices.
The Lenovo A6600 has been priced at Rs. 6999, while there are no pricing details on the Plus variant with 2GB RAM. Both will be going on sale through offline retailers in mid-September. The Lenovo A7700 on the other hand will go on sale late-September priced at Rs. 8540. You would be able to get it in matte white and black color options.
