LeEco Le2s expected to launch on September 9th with 6GB RAM, 64GB Storage
Earlier this week reports started to emerge of an 8GB RAM smartphone from LeEco launching soon, but it seems that the company is just planning to launch a spec refresh of the Le 2, called the Le 2s with 6GB RAM, 64GB storage and a faster Snapdragon processor.
The LeEco Le 2 already comes in three variants, two MediaTek Helio X20 and Helio X25 variants selling in China and Snapdragon 652 variant which is available in India. A new grey color of the Le 2 is now also available on Flipkart. The new Le 2s is also expected to come in single and dual camera variants.
Coolpad and LeEco are also planning to launch a dual-camera smartphone, the Cool 1 on August 16. LeEco CEO Jia Yueting has taken the charge of Coolpad's board and we are already seeing a lot of change in Coolpad's software as well as hardware design. The recently launched Coolpad Mega smartphone features a mix of EUI and CoolUI which you can see in the video below.
LeEco has been very aggressive in launching products in India, and has been able to bring their TVs here as well before Xiaomi. Given how popular the Le 2 has been, the company is expected to bring the Le 2s to India soon as well.
