itel has launched its latest budget-friendly smartphone in the A series, the itel A80 in India. The device boasts a 6.67-inch punch-hole display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a Dynamic Bar that provides live alerts, a signature feature across itel smartphones. Measuring 8.54mm in thickness, the phone includes a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and is IP54-rated for water resistance. It is available in three colors:
- Glacier White - A blend of glossy and matte finishes with a glacier-inspired pattern.
- Wave Blue - Features a meteor-like texture with golden highlights.
- Sandstone Black - A frosted, textured finish.
The itel A80 is powered by the Unisoc T603 octa-core processor, coupled with 8GB of RAM (4GB built-in + 4GB RAM expansion) and 128GB of internal storage, with support for memory expansion up to 2TB via a 3-card slot. The company promises smooth performance for up to three years.
Its camera setup includes a 50MP rear camera with a flash and a ring light notification, along with an 8MP front camera. The device is supported by a 5000mAh battery with Type-C charging. The company claims the battery lasts up to three days for regular users and 1-2 days for heavy users, with a battery lifespan of over four years.
Running on itel OS 14, based on Android 14 Go, the device includes features such as a Landscape Display clock widget for charging in landscape mode, Ultra Power Saving Mode to prolong battery life, and Smart Link+ to improve signal stability, reducing network latency by 20%.
