iQOO Z9s series will be launched on August 21 in India; Expected Snapdragon 7 Gen 3/Dimensity 7300 SoC
iQOO has officially announced the launch of its latest Z9s series in India on August 21st, as confirmed by iQOO India CEO Nipun Marya, after the teaser. The teaser highlights that the phone will feature a curved screen and is expected to be the fastest in its segment.
Small text at the end of the teaser notes that the phone’s performance is based on an AnTuTu score of 8.2 lakhs and is priced under Rs. 25,000 at launch, possibly with special offers. This is likely referring to the iQOO Z9s Pro, rumoured to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC.
Last month, the company revealed a rear design similar to the iQOO 12. Rumours suggest that both the Z9s and Z9s Pro models will feature a 6.78" 120Hz curved AMOLED screen, a 50MP rear camera with a Sony sensor, a 16MP front camera, and a 5,500 mAh battery.
The Z9s is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 SoC, a step down from the Dimensity 7200 SoC in the Z9, potentially making it more affordable than the Rs. 19,999 starting price of the Z9. The phones are anticipated to offer up to 12GB of RAM and up to 256GB of storage.
This pricing is significantly lower than the Motorola Edge 50 Pro, which uses the same chip but is priced over Rs. 30,000. Further details will be revealed in the coming weeks as the iQOO Z9s series prepares for its official launch later this month.
