Intex launches Aqua i6 with 5-inch display, quad-core processor for just Rs. 8990
Intex is trying to bring a little something to the sub Rs. 10000 segment with the Aqua i6 which features a 5-inch FWVGA display, 1.3 GHZ MediaTek MT6582 processor with Mali 400 MP2 GPU which is a first in this segment and we would have to see how well it performs. Till now we have only seen MediaTek's MT6589 chipset being used in quad-core smartphones with PowerVR graphics, Mali 400 has been restricted to dual-core smartphones by MediaTek.
The Aqua i6 comes with 512 MB RAM and 4 GB of internal storage, which has become the de-facto for the Indian market. The RAM on the smartphone seems a bit less and we have seen the XOLO Q600 struggle with app crashes due to low RAM, therefore we aren't that optimistic about the Intex Aqua i6 as well. In terms of connectivity you have 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS with aGPS support. The Intex Aqua i6 also has a 8 MP primary camera with LED flash accompanied by a 2 MP front facing camera.
It would be available in both black and white colors. The Aqua i6 has been priced at Rs. 8990 and will be available soon online as well as through reseller outlets in your city.
