Infinix NOTE Edge 5G launched in India starting at Rs. 21,999 with 6.78-inch 1.5K 120Hz curved AMOLED display, 7.2mm sleek design, 6500mAh battery

Infinix has launched its latest smartphone in the new Edge series, the Infinix NOTE Edge 5G in India, as previously announced. The smartphone focuses on delivering long battery life and advanced display technology within an ultra-slim profile.

Performance, Design, and Display -

The NOTE Edge 5G is among the first devices to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset. Infinix claims it is the first smartphone in India powered by this processor, citing an AnTuTu benchmark score exceeding 7,50,000.

For gamers, the phone supports gameplay at up to 90FPS and introduces a suite of AI-powered features under the “AI Powers Your Play” branding. These include Performance Mode, Magic Voice Changer, Network Enhancement, and Bypass Charging — a feature that powers the device directly without charging the battery to help reduce heat during extended gaming sessions.

The device measures just 7.2mm in thickness and weighs 185g. It sports a 3D curved design with a “Pearl Light Ripple Shadow” finish.

On the front, the smartphone features a 1.5K resolution 3D curved display with a peak brightness of 4500 nits and ultra-narrow, symmetrical 1.87mm bezels. Durability is enhanced with Corning Gorilla Glass 7i protection and an IP65 rating for dust and water resistance. The device also offers dual stereo speakers tuned by JBL for an improved audio experience.

Connectivity is backed by Infinix’s Ultra Powerful Signal (UPS) 3.0 AI technology, designed to optimize low-frequency bands in congested or weak-signal environments such as subways, basements, and industrial zones.

Camera and Software -

The rear camera system is led by a customized 50MP main sensor with a 1/2-inch size, optimized for improved low-light photography. New camera features include Live Photo mode, which captures short video clips with audio alongside still images, as well as AI-powered editing tools.

The smartphone runs XOS 16 based on Android 16. It includes the FOLAX AI assistant, accessible via a customizable side button, capable of screen recognition, translation, and content summarization. Infinix promises three major Android updates (up to XOS 19) along with five years of security patches.

Battery and Charging -

A standout feature of the NOTE Edge 5G is its massive 6500mAh battery — the largest ever included in an Infinix smartphone. Despite the high capacity, advanced battery packaging technology allows it to fit within the slim 7.2mm chassis.

Infinix says the battery incorporates a “self-repairing” mechanism using dynamic recrystallization to help maintain long-term health. The company claims the battery can retain over 80% of its original capacity after 2,000 charge cycles, equivalent to roughly six years of typical use. The device supports 45W fast charging, reaching 50% charge in approximately 27 minutes.

The Infinix NOTE Edge 5G comes in Lunar Titanium, Stellar Blue, and Silk Green, the latter crafted using a polyurethane process that mimics a brushed, leather-like texture. It will be available from February 25th via the e-commerce platform Flipkart and the Infinix India online store.
