Huawei Teases Smartwatch Launch in India with Wrist-Based Blood Pressure Monitoring
HUAWEI is reportedly preparing to launch a new smartwatch in India that will feature wrist-based blood pressure monitoring. A teaser image circulating online hints that the announcement could be just around the corner.
The promotional poster highlights the silhouette of a smartwatch paired with an ECG-style pulse line and the tagline, “Blood Pressure Monitoring on Your Wrist – Coming Soon.” This points to a notable upgrade in health-focused features, expanding beyond the usual metrics offered by most smartwatches.
Currently, consumer wearables typically include heart rate, SpO₂, and ECG tracking, but reliable blood pressure monitoring directly from the wrist has been relatively rare.
Globally, HUAWEI has already released the Watch D2, which carries medical-grade certification for its health functions. Industry speculation suggests that this model—or a similar variant—could be the one headed to India.
Although HUAWEI has not confirmed an official launch date, the teaser strongly indicates that an announcement is imminent. The upcoming smartwatch is expected to attract health-focused users, particularly those managing hypertension.
