HUAWEI Pura 80 Series to be launched on July 10th Globally with 50MP 1" variable aperture camera, 48MP periscope telephoto camera
HUAWEI has officially announced that its upcoming flagship smartphones in the Pura 80 Series will launch globally at an event in Dubai on July 10th, following its recent debut in China.
The teaser highlights the Pura 80 Ultra, which becomes the first smartphone to feature a 50MP one-inch ultra-high dynamic range main sensor with a variable aperture of f/1.4–f/4.0. It also includes a 40MP ultra-wide camera, a 12.5MP ultra-telephoto lens, and a 50MP 1/1.28-inch sensor dedicated to telephoto, supporting dual optical zoom levels at 3.7x and 9.4x, 100x digital zoom, advanced sensor-shift stabilization, and a 1.5MP multispectral sensor.
The global lineup is expected to include the Pura 80, Pura 80 Pro, and Pura 80 Ultra, especially since last year’s Pura 70 Pro+ didn’t see a global release. For reference, the Pura 70 launched in Europe at a starting price of 999 Euros for the 12GB + 256GB variant, so the Pura 80 could fall within a similar price range.
More information is expected in the coming days ahead of the official launch next month.
