HUAWEI Mate XT Ultimate Design Tri-fold phone launched Globally with 10.2-inch Unfold 3K OLED screen, 50MP Camera
HUAWEI has launched the world’s first tri-fold smartphone, the Mate XT ULTIMATE DESIGN for global markets, as promised, following its initial launch in China last year. The device features a 6.4-inch FHD+ display when folded, expands to a 7.9-inch 2K screen when partially opened, and fully unfolds into a 10.2-inch 3K tablet. When completely open, it measures just 3.6mm in thickness.
It sports a 90Hz LTPO OLED display with 1440Hz high-frequency PWM dimming and a 240Hz maximum touch sampling rate. Built with multi-directional bending flexible materials, the screen offers 25% improved resistance to bending compared to traditional foldables. The inner fold is designed to withstand compression, while the outer fold resists tension, according to the company.
For durability, the phone incorporates a composite ultra-tough laminated structure, featuring non-Newtonian fluid technology and the industry’s largest UTG glass, which provides double impact resistance for enhanced protection.
The Mate XT ULTIMATE DESIGN is equipped with XMAGE imaging, including a 50MP 1/1.56″ main camera with a variable aperture (f/1.4 to f/4.0), a 12MP ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 12MP 5.5x periscope telephoto lens. Additionally, an 8MP front camera is housed on the inner display.
Powering the device is a 5600mAh silicon-carbon battery—the world’s thinnest large-capacity battery, measuring just 1.9mm in thickness. It supports 66W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging.

The HUAWEI Mate XT | Ultimate Design is available in Black and Red colour options. In Europe, it is priced at €3,499 (approximately $3,660 / ₹3,18,270), while in Malaysia, it costs RM 14,999 (around $3,370 / ₹2,93,660). The device comes in a single 16GB + 1TB storage variant and is already on sale with launch offers.
