Huawei Honor Play 5X with Snapdragon 615, fingerprint sensor goes official
Huawei has just announced a new smartphone in its Honor series, the Honor Play 5X in China. It comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p IPS display running on the Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 2GB/3GB RAM options, 16GB internal storage expandable with a microSD card slot, Android 5.1 Lollipop based EMUI 3.1.
Just like other Honor smartphone, the 5X Play is a dual-SIM device and uses micro and nano SIM card slots. There is a fingerprint sensor at the back as well, which is capable of unlocking the device in under 0.5 seconds. There is a also a 13MP camera at the back with either a Sony or Samsung sensor, alongwith a 5MP front-facing camera.
A 3000 mAh battery sits inside, it is non-removable. Huawei has also worked on the audio department of the Honor 5X Play with a SoundPA chip. There's WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, GPS and FM Radio support available here as well.
The Huawei Honor 5X Play will come in Gold and Silver colors priced at 1399 Chinese Yuan (about $220 or Rs. 14,300) for 3GB RAM variant and 999 Yuan (about $157 or Rs. 10,200) for 2GB RAM variant. It shipd November 3rd in China.
