Huawei Honor 5A goes official with 5.5-inch display, 8MP front-camera
Huawei has taken the wraps off its latest smartphone in China, the Honor 5A which comes with a 5.5-inch 720p HD IPS display running on an octa-core Kirin 620 or Snapdragon 617 processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage.
The Huawei Honor 5A comes with Android Marshmallow right out of the box albeit with their custom Emotion UI 4.1 skin on top. Based on region you will get either a 13MP rear Sony/Omnivision camera with f/2.0 aperture lens and an 8MP front-facing camera. All of this is powered by a sizable 3100 mAh battery.
The Honor 5A has three separate slots, so two SIM slots with 4G VoLTE support and a dedicated microSD card slot to expand storage. Other connectivity options include dual-band WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS but there's no fingerprint sensor on the device. Th eback on the device has an interesting 3D texture, the likes of which we have seen earlier on the Honor 4C and Honor 4X.
It would come in black, white, blue and gold colors and has been priced at CNY 699 (about $105 or Rs. 7100) for China Telecom, while the Full network and Dual Netcom variants come in at CNY 799 ($120 or Rs. 8100.) The Honor 5A will go on sale on June 17th, you can register today on VMALL.
