HTC One M9+ announced with 5.2-inch Quad-HD display, Fingerprint sensor
After weeks of rumors and leaks, the HTC M9+ has become official in a launch event in Beijing. It comes with a 5.2-inch Quad-HD display and fingerprint sensor just below it breaking the BoomSound speakers in half. The HTC M9+ continues the dual-tone unibody metal construction from the One M9 but instead of the Snapdragon 810 it is now powered by the 2.2 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6795T 64-bit processor with 4G LTE support, 3 GB RAM and 32 GB storage.
Same as the One M9, the HTC One M9+ too runs on Android 5.0 lollipop with Sense UI on top, which can now be customized with themes. Cameras remain the same on the M9+ with a 20.7 megapixel rear shooter but with a secondary Duo camera to capture depth information and a 4 MP UltraPixel camera in the front for great selfies even in low-light.
Connectivity options include 4G LTE support, dual-band WiFi ac, Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX, GPS with GLOBASS support. There's a 2840 mAh battery to keep the phone ticking. The HTC One M9+ will go ong sale soon in China but there is no word on a global rollout.
