HTC One A9 announced in India running Android Marshmallow, 13MP Rear Camera with OIS
The HTC One A9 has finally arrived in India, and is one of the very few devices running Android 6.0 Marshmallow right out of the box but the company didn't announce availability nor price.
It sports a 5-inch 1080p AMOLED display on the brand new Snapdragon 617 octa-core processor with 2GB RAM, 16GB onboard storage which is expandable. You get a 13MP rear camera ith optical image stabilization, phase-detection auto-focus, LED flash capable of recording 1080p videos. The 4MP UltraPixel camera has now taken its permanent position in the front for better low-light selfies.
Although there are no BoomSound speakers here, you do get a fingerprint sensor just below the HTC logo in the front. The One A9 supports both FDD and TDD LTE bands in India, has dual-band WiFi support, Bluetooth 4.1 and GPS.
If we come to the design, well there is nothing more I can add that hasn't been said before. It is a rip-off of the iPhone 6 and to make matters worse, to keep the design thin HTC has skimped on the battery. You have a mere 2150 mAh battery here although it does support Qualcomm QuickCharge 3.0. So, it will atleast charge fast once it drains.
The HTC One A9 will be available in Carbon Grey, Pearl White colors. We will know more about exact pricing and availability within 2 weeks.
