HTC reels in the Iron Man, Robert Downey Jr to promote their phones
HTC has a hit on its hands with the One, but they have faltered on the marketing on that too. But it seems the company is willing to go the extra mile on the marketing front as well, and given that they might have just hired Robert Downey Jr. to promote their phones, its a step in the right direction.
Although neither HTC nor RDJ's PR agency have confirmed this but it would awesome to see him tinker with the HTC One, although RDJ would be playing himself rather than as the Iron Man, which is just as cool. The contract, if true, is for 2 years to the tune of $12 Million and considering the financial crunch that HTC is right now, its a huge leap of faith.
If you are like me, I am already giddy with excitement, and finally we'll be able to forget the cringe-worthy ads HTC has become associated with and please, oh! please, drop the "Quietly Brilliant" tag line if you are on it.
