HONOR Magic6 Pro and Magic6 launched with 120Hz LTPO display, Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, 180MP periscope telephoto camera
HONOR has unveiled the HONOR Magic6 series smartphones in China as the successor to last year's Magic5 series, just ahead of MWC 2024 scheduled for February. Maintaining the design language of its predecessor, the HONOR Magic6 Pro boasts a Quad-curved floating screen, a 6.8-inch 120Hz OLED LTPO Adaptive Dynamic Refresh Rate, and a peak brightness of up to 5000 nits.
Both smartphones run on the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC, accompanied by a maximum of 16GB of RAM, and operate on Magic UI 8.0. The Pro variant is endowed with IP68 ratings and incorporates satellite services for instantaneous voice communication and two-way text messaging.
Additionally, it features Dolby Vision and is equipped with Jurhino glass, recognized for being 10 times more drop-resistant and holding the world's first Swiss SGS multi-scene gold label for five-star drop resistance, according to the company.
The device comes with a 50-megapixel main camera, an SMA memory metal motor for fast and precise focusing, an intelligent variable aperture ranging from f/1.4 to f/2.0, and a groundbreaking 1/1.49-inch 180-megapixel periscope telephoto lens. Complementing this, the Pro version includes an ultra-wide camera and a 50MP+TOF depth camera on the front.
Meanwhile, the HONOR Magic6 features a slightly smaller 6.78-inch screen, with display specifications matching those of the Pro model. It sports a 50MP front camera, 50MP rear main camera, 50MP ultra-wide-angle lens, and a 32MP 2.5x telephoto camera.
