HMD Crest and HMD Crest Max launch India.

HMD has officially launched its latest mid-range smartphones, the HMD Crest and Crest Max in India. Both models feature a 6.67-inch FHD+ 90Hz OLED display, protected by glass equivalent to Corning Gorilla Glass. The devices run on the Unisoc T760 5G 6nm SoC, which the company claims delivers over 5.1 lakh AnTuTu points.

The Crest comes with 6GB of RAM plus an additional 6GB of RAM expansion, while the Crest Max offers 8GB of RAM with an 8GB expansion. Both phones run on Android 14 and are promised to receive security updates for 2 years.

Both models support ‘Hands-Free Selfie’ through gestures and come with features such as tone control, Beautify, slow-motion, AI Super Portrait mode, a Flash shot mode for capturing moving subjects, and a Tripod Mode for long-exposure photography.

In terms of camera capabilities, the Crest features a 50MP main camera, a 2MP secondary camera, and a 50MP front camera, marking a first in its segment. The Crest Max, on the other hand, is equipped with a 64MP main camera with a Sony sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide lens, a 2MP macro lens, and a 50MP front camera. The phones are powered by a 5000mAh battery with 33W fast charging, and the charger is included in the box. The company claims that the battery can maintain good health even after 800 charging cycles.

Additionally, the devices feature Repairability 1.0, which facilitates the replacement of the back panel, battery, display, or charging port, thereby extending the device’s lifespan and reducing e-waste.

Pricing and Availability -

The HMD Crest is available in Midnight Blue, Royal Pink, and Lush Lilac, and the price is Rs. 14,499 for the 6GB RAM with 128GB storage variant.
The HMD Crest Max comes in Deep Purple, Royal Pink, and Aqua Green, and the price is Rs.16,499 for the 8GB RAM with 256GB storage model.

The HMD Crest and HMD Crest Max will be available on Amazon.in during the Amazon Great Freedom Sale in August. The Midnight Blue colour for the HMD Crest and the Deep Purple color for the HMD Crest Max will be available. During the sale, the phones will be offered at special introductory prices of Rs. 12,999 and Rs. 14,999, respectively.
