Google starts rolling out Android 4.4 KitKat update for Nexus 7 and Nexus 10
Android 4.4 update for the 2012 and 2013 editions of the Google Nexus 7 as well as the Nexus 10. Although the update roll out starts today, it might take some time to reach you. Just keep an eye on the System Update notification. Nexus 7 Cellular and Nexus 4 would have to wait a little bit longer for the KitKat update. If you are unaware of the changes in Android 4.4 KitKat here's a quick rundown:
- Transparent status bar
- Hangouts app which now integrates chat and SMS
- Full Screen Immersive mode for apps
- Revamped lockscreen with app integration
- New Dialer with Search
- Native Screen Recorder
- New Security Features
