Google Pixel and Pixel XL smartphones have just been launched in the US at an event in San Francisco and both are already available to pre-order there. Google also announced that both will be going on pre-order in starting October 13th in India and now we have the pricing as well.

Just to get the specs out of the way first, the Pixel smartphones run on Snapdragon 821 quad-core processor with 4GB RAM and Android 7.1 Nougat. There's a 12.3 MP Rear camera with Sony sensor capable of recording 4K videos along with a 5MP front camera on both. The display on the smaller Pixel is pegged at 5-inch with 1080p resolution and the Pixel XL gets a Quad-HD super AMOLED panel.

Coming to pricing in India, the 32GB Pixel in Quite Black or Very Silver color will be sold in India starting at Rs. 57000 which is quite steep compared to the US pricing of $649 which roughly translates to about Rs. 43,200 at current exchange rate. This is clearly in iPhone 7 pricing territory.

Google Pixel and Pixel XL India Pricing:

    Pixel 32GB - Rs. 57,000

    Pixel 128GB - Rs. 66,000

    Pixel XL 32GB - Rs. 67,000
