Double tap to wake is quite a nifty feature which is available on smartphones from several OEM's but it wasn't a part of stock Android. With Lift to wake, you can easily check notifications without unlocking the deviceNow that Google has made it a part of the Pixel's arsenal, we can hope these would trickle down to other devices as well.
Along with, the OTA update, Google also released Android 7.1.1 Developer Preview 2 for the Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus 9 and Pixel C. The update brings new UI elements, API 25 for developers. You can just head over to the Android Developer Preview website after rolling into the beta program.
