Google Pixel 9 Surfaced Online with 6.1-inch display, telephoto camera
Following the recent unveiling of renders for the Pixel 9 Pro earlier this week, the initial set of renders for the upcoming Google Pixel 9 has surfaced, courtesy of @OnLeaks. These images depict a flat frame and back design akin to the Pixel 9 Pro.
Additionally, the renders reveal a triple rear camera setup, marking the inclusion of a telephoto camera for the first time in a non-Pro Pixel model. The device is reported to sport a 6.1-inch screen, and it is likely to feature an FHD+ AMOLED display to maintain a more cost-effective positioning compared to the Pro variant.
With dimensions measuring 152.8 x 71.9 x 8.5~12.0mm, the Pixel 9 is larger yet thinner than the Pixel 8, despite featuring a slightly smaller display than the 6.2-inch screen on the Pixel 8.
While the button placements remain unchanged, notable adjustments include the relocation of the SIM slot from the left side to the bottom. The renders also showcase antenna bands, indicative of a metal frame. Powering the Pixel 9 series is expected to be the Tensor G4, codenamed "Redondo."
As for other specifications, details remain undisclosed at this point. More comprehensive information is anticipated to emerge in the ensuing months, given that the official introduction of the Pixel 9 is slated for October.
