Google Pixel 9 Series and Pixel Watch 3 Launch Event will be held on August 13 Globally, and in India on August 14

Google has confirmed that the Pixel 9 series and Pixel Watch 3 will be launched on August 13th, two months earlier than the usual October launch. This year, the event will take place at Google’s headquarters in Mountain View, California, instead of New York City.

Pixel 9, Pixel 9 Pro, Pixel 9 Pro XL, and Pixel 9 Pro Fold -

The landing page initially featured the Pixel 9 Pro, but there are expectations of introducing a new Pixel 9 XL and the anticipated Pixel 9 Pro Fold, succeeding the Pixel Fold.

The Pixel 9 Pro XL is rumoured to feature 16GB of RAM and a large screen, utilizing the Tensor G4 SoC from the Pixel 9 and 9 Pro. The Pixel 9 is expected to sport a 6.03-inch display, while the Pixel 9 Pro may feature a 6.3-inch display, and the Pixel 9 Pro XL is likely to boast a larger 6.7-inch display.

The Pixel 9 Pro Fold is rumoured to include a 6.4-inch outer screen and a 7.9-inch foldable inner screen, compared to the 7.6-inch foldable and 5.8-inch outer displays in the first Pixel Fold. Leaked renders suggest triple rear cameras, including a telephoto camera, and retention of the Tensor G4 SoC with 16GB of RAM.

Pixel Watch 3 and Pixel Watch 3 XL -

The Pixel Watch 3 is expected to retain its 1.2-inch screen, with a new addition of the Pixel Watch 3 XL featuring a larger 1.45-inch screen. The XL model will have a larger and thicker body measuring 45mm x 45mm x 13.89mm.

Anticipated updates include a larger battery, and an updated version of the crafted leather band similar in appearance to previous models, possibly available in Porcelain colour.

Live Stream -

The 'Made by Google' in-person launch event in Mountain View, California on August 13, 2024, begins at 10 am PT (10:30 PM IST). Google will live stream the event on YouTube and the Google Store website.

India launch -

As with previous launches, the Pixel 9 series devices are expected to go on sale the same day as the announcement. Google India has confirmed that the Pixel 9 series will launch on August 14th.
