Google Pixel 5a 5G launched with 6.34-inch FHD+ OLED display, Snapdragon 765G SoC, IP67 water resistant metal body
Google has launched its latest mid-range 5G smartphone the Google Pixel 5a 5G in the U.S. and Japan, which is the successor of last year’s Pixel 4a 5G. It has a 6.34-inch FHD+ OLED display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection. It is powered by a Snapdragon 765G processor with 5G SA/NSA, Titan M Security chip, 6GB LPDDR4X RAM, 128GB UFS 2.1 storage, and works on Android 11 with a minimum of 3 years of OS and security updates.
It has a dual rear camera setup where a 12.2MP primary camera with OIS along with a 16MP 107° Ultra-wide secondary camera, and on the front side has an 8-megapixel punch-hole camera. It has a metal unibody design with a soft finish compared to the polycarbonate body and also has IP67 ratings for water resistance.
The Pixel 5a 5G comes only in Mostly Black color with forest green undertones and an olive-colored Power button, but the company also sells a case in four different colors – Black Moss, Maybe Moon, Likely Lime, and Partially Pink. It is powered by a 4,680mAh battery that supports 18W USB-PD 2.0 fast charging in the box.

The price of the Google Pixel 5a 5G is $449 (Rs. 33,395 approx.) and will be available from August 26th in the U.S. and Japan and the pre-order has been stated now. The case is priced at $29 (Rs. 2,155 approx.). It is unlocked and works on all major carrier networks in the U.S. and Japan as per the company, but it didn’t reveal any plans to sell the phone in other countries.
