Google Now Launcher available in the Play Store but only for Nexus and Play Edition devices
The Google Now Launcher, till now only found on the Nexus 5 is now available in the Play Store. Google has just launched its new launcher which allows you to bring up Google Now from any homescreen by just saying "OK, Google". Plus the leftmost homescreen is always the Google Now screen, hence the new name, earlier it was called the Google Experience launcher.
However, the Google Now launcher is only compatible with Nexus and Google Play Edition devices. The status and navigation bars become transparent and remain so if the device supports the functionality. Aaprt from that it is a very basic launcher with very little customization options. Nevertheless, having Google Now at your behest anytime you want is a good enough reason to update to the new launcher.
