Google and LG fix Nexus 5 speaker grill and wobbly buttons with hardware revision
Google is actively listening to user complaints on the Nexus 5, and it clearly shows that the company is paying attention. LG and Google have started shipping a new hardware revision of the Nexus 5 which comes with larger holes in the speaker grill for better audio input and output, alongwith sturdier buttons which were previously quite wobbly. The screen frame as well as SIM card tray seem more solid than before and appear to stay in place better without any gaps.
Earlier this week Google updated the Nexus 5 with Android 4.4.2 KitKat which significantly improved the camera performance of the device. Although users of the new Nexus 5's are complaining of warmer display colors, plus the white version has yet to get the new revision since its not selling as well as the black variant. Nevertheless, it seems Google is listening and although seemingly small hardware issues of existing buyers cannot be resolved atleast in terms of software you can have it all.
