Google's Daydream View VR Headset and Controller announced
Here's Google's first DayDream View VR headset, which is made of fabric and is more comfortable to wear. The headset is adjustable and it comes with a controller which sits inside the headset when not in use.
Google has designed the DayDream View headset keeping in mind those who wear glasses keeping adequate distance between the lenses and your face. The controller connects wirelessly with the VR headset as does the headset with your phone.
The controller has sensors built into it which can sense motion and can also take voice commands. Google Pixel and Pixel XL are the first Daydream ready phones but there are many coming soon from other manufacturers. The DayDream View headset will be available in Slate color at launch, later to be joined by snow and crimson.
Google also announced a game that ties in with Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them. Then you also have support for Google's Street View and YouTube's 360-degree videos. Hulu, HBO, Netflix and other video services will be accessible through apps where you can get a virtual theater like experience sitting in your living room. The DayDream View VR Headset and Controller will be available for $79 starting in November.
