Google Nexus 7 launched, comes with full-HD display, quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro and $229.99 starting price
Google has announced the new Nexus 7, it comes with a 7-inch 1920 x 1200 pixels display, at 320 PPI and 1.5 Ghz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro APQ8064 processor with Adreno 320 graphics. There's stereo speakers this time around and 5-megapixel primary camera and a 1.2-megapixel secondary front-facing camera.
The second-gen Nexus 7 runs Android 4.3 out of the box. It is about 1.8mm thinner than the previous-gen Nexus 7 and about 6mm less in width as well due to the reduction in bezel size. Its lighter as well by shedding 50 grams of weight than the previous model.
Google also revealed pricing details, the new Nexus 7 will be available for $229.99 for the 16GB Wi-Fi variant, and $269.99 for the 32GB Wi-Fi variant. The Wi-Fi + LTE variant of the Nexus 7 comes with 32GB storage for $349. The search giant did not reveal any specific date about the retail availability of the LTE model, but said it would be available in the "coming weeks".
