Gionee Marathon M5 with a whopping 6020 mAh battery, 5.5-inch HD AMOLED display announced
Gionee today announced the Marathon M5 with a humongous 6020 mAh battery which has two 3010 mAh battery cells. The company promises 62% battery-life with even 5% charge left. There are dual-charging chips inside which charge the phone quickly and you can use it to charge other devices.
Coming to build, you have a 8.5mm thick unibody metal build even with that huge battery but weighs in at a hefty 214 grams. It has a 5.5-inch HD AMOLED Plus display to make the device more power efficient. It is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6735 64-bit processor with Mali-T760 GPU, 2GB RAM, 16GB expandable internal storage running Android 5.1 Lollipop with AMIGO UI 3.1 on top.
There's a 13MP rear camera here and a 5MP front-camera with 84-degree wide-angle lens. There's 4G LTE support baked in as well with Dual-SIM slots, WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and USB OTG also come standard.
The Gionee Marathon M5 will come in Black and White colors priced at 2299 Chinese Yuan (about US$370 or Rs. 23,000), available on June 25th.
